I've been wanting a 7-string for a long time, but quality left-handed models that aren't super expensive are hard to come by. I'd been looking at Schecters for a while and was saving up some cash to get their lower end Omen Extreme 7 (~$480).

Last night I was cruising Ebay out of boredom and stumbled upon an incredible deal. A brand-new, in the box Schecter Damien Elite 7 Floyd Rose for—get this—$367. Normal retail on one of these is about $710 anywhere else. At first I couldn't believe it. I figured there had to be a catch so I scoured the listing about 5 times looking for anything fishy. There was nothing. It (and 3 or 4 identical others) are for sale from a vendor in Indiana with 16,000+ reviews and a 99.5% positive rating. I don't know if they're just having trouble moving $700 left handed guitars or what, but needless to say, I snatched that baby right up.

Solid mahogany body with a maple top, EMG 81-7 and 85-7 active pups, Grover tuners, and a Floyd Rose Special tremolo. For $370.

Should be here by Thursday so I'll be on pins and needles for the next 6 days.

Best high res photo I could find. Mine will obviously be lefty.

That's not a bad deal at all. Schecter makes some good mid-range guitars. Also, you should be a cool kid and play a right-handed guitar upside down.

"right handed upside down"

There are a bunch of street performers in our subway stations who do that. Cheap guitars, battery powered little amps, etc. some sing, some don't....

Except they play right handed stringed. There are a handful of folks that do this, and it wierds me out every time. It looks so funny fretting all funky fingered.

I've tried playing left handed (strung normally) flipped upside down before. Holy cow it's hard. Even on bass, which only uses single notes. I guess if you've learned how to play that way, you're used to it.

I had a LH guitar buddy who always seemed to have a nicer guitar than me. Every time he came over to mess around in the studio, he had something new.

"OOOOOHHHH LEMME SEE IT!" I would say as I reached out my arms opening and closing my hands..

I would get a hold of it, realize I forgot he was left handed, and hand it right back.

Every. Damn. Time.

That's pretty sexy. Can't miss for what you paid for it, too. I expect many pictures when it arrives.

Very nice! That's a great deal. Crazy hard to find in lefty as well.

Big fan of Schecter. I picked up my C-1 Classic for about $400 back in 2006 when they were discontinuing them.
